 ABOUT THE PROJECT:

With the rising cost of inflation, many people are struggling to afford basic necessities such as household and hygiene items. Organizations have reached out to United Way Goldenhorseshoe asking for help with basic household supplies for the clients they support.

We are looking for volunteers to purchase a variety of household items and assemble kits for people in need. We need a variety of supplies. 

 

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Supplies (below are just suggested supplies and don’t all have to be incorporated)

 

  Paper Towels

  Toilet Paper

  Dish Soap

  Sponge

  Laundry Soap

  Dryer Sheets

  Reusable bag to collect the items

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.     Layout all the purchased supplies on a table making piles of each product

2.    Take  the reusable bag and fill with items from each pile. 

3.     Take a picture of the completed kits and tag us on Instagram, Facebook or X.

4.     Get creative and write an encouraging note with your own personal greeting.  Example “Thinking of you” or “Share some of your kindness today too”

5.     Place completed kits in a box.

6.     Drop kit(s) off to one of our warehouse spaces (Burlington or St. Catharines) on the dates below.

73 Ontario St. St. Catharines - Enter the back parking lot from Cherry St. It is easiest to take Trafalgar or Salina off of Ontario St. to Cherry St, you will see four brown garages doors.
